Yesterday I visited brygselv.dk together with 3 friends. It's a neat concept. You reserve a time there, choose a beer style and then you follow a simple 6 step guide and about 2 hours later you have brewed a batch of around 50L of beer. 2-3 weeks later you stop by again to bottle your beer in either 33/50cl cans or bottles. The people at brygselv.dk are friendly and quite helpful. We brewed 2 batches there, a russian imperial stout and a double IPA.
We spiced up the russian imperial stout a bit (a suggestion by the people @ brygselv.dk) by adding a vanilla pod in the middle of the brewing proces and right before adding the yeast, we added a bottle of Captain Morgan Rum.
The double IPA isn't one of their recipes, we got that from a friend that's been brewing beers for years. Brygselv.dk didn't have the hops in the recipe so we've used some other hops in a sort of best effort to match it :) It will be quite interesting how this brew turns out!
As mentioned above, you follow a simple guide when brewing. For future reference, here is our notes of what we did in each step:
Step 1 & 2:
7,5L Edme light lager
1,5L corn syrup
400g wheat malt
100g northern brewer + 140g willamette
cooking time: 20min.
Step 3:
Cornbag removed
Pour 300ml for cooling (used for the yeast later).
cooking time: 20min
Step 4:
1 1/2 pill Irish moss
60g cascade + 60g willamette
cooking time: 20min
Step 5:
Turn off the heat.
140g cascade + 100g willamette
Time: 20min
Step 6:
30g saf-ale yeast
Step 7, around 1 week later:
Dry hop 50g northern brewer + 100g cascade + 50g willamette.
As you can see, we've added a step 7 as well. Here's a couple of pictures:

After brewing, we left for Carlsens Kvarter (highly recommended bar in Odense, DK) and got a couple of beers. First one was their own beer, "Carlsens IPA", brewed by one of the people at Carlsens Kvarter. It's brewed at Midtfyns Bryghus and it's quite good! Next up was Hornbeer Vårøl which I have mentioned on this blog before. It was a bit of a let down compared to the Carlsens IPA. The last beer we tasted was the De Molen - Black Damnation 666 imperial stout, a nice way to finish before leaving (we were getting hungry). Later we visited Christian Firtal where I tried a Stensbogaard Modnet Pale Ale. Decent beer but nothing great. The Black Damnation 666:
